JamiiTrade — Building Africa's Digital Trade Ecosystem
JamiiTrade is a digital ecosystem nearly three years in the making, built to address information asymmetry and help Africa capitalise on AfCFTA and EU Global Gateway opportunities. Andy and Edgar Ouko recently highlighted its progress at the African Entrepreneurship Forum, discussing how entrepreneurs can leverage the AfCFTA Digital Trade Protocol. Built with Shared Value Africa and a growing community of African entrepreneurs, the project continues gaining momentum toward transforming digital trade across Africa.
3rd EU-Africa SME Summit — Co-MC, Innovator & Panellist
Andy co-hosted the 3rd EU-Africa SME Summit as Co-MC, Innovator, and Panellist, pitching JamiiTrade — his digital peer-to-peer learning ecosystem for African SMEs — to potential investors. He joined an Afreximbank panel on continental SME development linked to AfCFTA and the EU Global Gateway Facility. The Summit united European and African leaders to foster collaboration, innovation, and investment. Andy left grateful for the chance to help bridge gaps in capital access and opportunities across both regions.
UNLEASH 2022 — SDG6 Thematic Facilitator
Andy attended UNLEASH 2022 in Mysuru, India, where 1,000 innovators developed 200+ solutions for 7 SDGs. He facilitated the SDG6 track, mentoring teams through design thinking. "People for Poop Management" won $5,000 from Infosys for Most Innovative Solution. Fellow Ambassadors presented the Most Inclusive Solution award to "Supergirls" from the SDG4 track. Andy left grateful to UNLEASH leadership, partners, and his Reach for Change family.
